Hi guys! Recently I've seen an oil leak at my Punto mk2 16v and idk what could be...The oil it seems to leak between the ignition coil and the engine block.
Punto mk2 8v i know it have an o-ring but 16v doesn't have it ,what it could be?An camshaft seal?

Looks to me like an 8V engine. Nothing like my 2004 16V engine.

Definately looks like a leak from the new gasket.

Seems to me the two bolts on the right of the cover will not tighten the gasket on the right of the cover if the metal under the bolts is touching. I am not sure if that metal should touch. . There is then the problem with the other parts which are under the very far right of the cover. If they are too high and the cover is tightened the cover will be bent - which could have happened in the past. There is a guide here somewhere to correctly seal a 8v cover where you have to use two blobs of silicone in the corners under that round part at the end.

There are special gasket dressings when you use a gasket and want extra protection. RTV is not recommended by Permatex who are the same company as Loctite apparently.

If you can get it to seal without using a gasket dressing - that you will need to keep replacing and cleaning up - it will create less headaches in the future.
