Hey, the title says it all. Anyone knows any? Can't seem to find it on the forum. Thanks in advance. I was thinking about changing the clutch pedal if anyone knows any tutorial as well. Thanks!
GUIDE section should show basics of gearbox swap.
If its a petrol.. most FIAT cars are VERY similar.
i've checked and foun nothing there
Changing the clutch is a similar job to changing the gearbox - depending on how you do it.

Okay, I think I got that one. And what about changing the clutch pedal?
Do you really need to change it? squeaks and clicks can be solved by getting a 3 euro plastic cap which goes on the end of the clutch slave rod near the hinge of the clutch pedal.
I read somewhere the easiest way to get the clutch pedal out is to take out all three pedals because the amount of room in that area to see what you are doing makes working there very difficult
.
Its lengthy job... i can get it out in about 4hrs.... as dropping it is 10x easier than getting it in...
Ive done it loads of times and i run into different issues each time....

YesYou're talking about the gearbox right?
Never heard of that plastic cap. You know where I can fine one? My clutch pedal is always squeaking and clicking as you describe.
From the fiat dealer. Small round nylon part.
Yes
4hrs to get it dropped
If i had some more tools (wishbone lever tool for example)
Id get it done abit quicker....
Getting it back in i find harder tbh....
As for the clutch pedal itself
Ive never heard anybody changing it on a punto
Maybe 1 master swap
Alot more slave swaps (which is alot easier)
If your doing a clutch - id add about 1hr ontop to ensure its in correctly before refitting box

The box should bolt straight in.....My objective is to upgrade my 5-gear to a 6-gear sporting. Since I have a mk2 sporting for spares.
The box should bolt straight in.....
However im not 100% sure on the linkages....

Theory says the linkages have nowt todo with how gears are selected - thats done by the gear selector ontop of the boxHeard somewhere it is plug and play.
