Hi ALL,
I got a new coolant pipe today.
There is a rubber seal on the outside of the pipe where it joins the water pump. But about 1 inch inside the pipe theres a groove.
Is this where the O RING goes.i didn't get one with the new pipe .
Will I have to buy this part?,or can I use the old o ring ?????????????
Help required!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't the ridge near the pump end of the pipe to stop the sealing ring sliding along the tube?

Red rubber grease might be OK if you don't slather it on as would silicone grease.

Whatever you use will get into the cooling system at least in very small amounts. Neat antifreeze might even do the lubricating job.
