Hi,
MY Mk 2 punto has a slight leake where the metal coolant pipe just under the manifold meets the rubber hose.
Is there an o ring or something I need to replace. The rubber hose seems to
be sealed very tight around the metal pipe,so cant understand why it is leaking, any help appreciated.

Are you sure it isn't coming from the seal where the pipe goes into the back of the water pump and dribbling across to the hose join.
The o ring seal in there fails - few yoyos from a dealer.

If it is that seal you may notice coolant on top of the oil filter housing when the motor is cold. The seal is an o ring although I think there is a new shape but the one I got from the dealer was an o ring. Someone here measured it and found it to be a standard BS size but I can't find the post for love nor money.
The pipe pulls straight out from the water pump housing and the old seal may be flattened to the extent that you cannot see it in the groove on the outside of the pipe. Only the big hose needs removing to shift the pipe, the small one can stay and you'll need a new clip for the big hose. A bit of washing up liquid makes it easier to slip the pipe back in.

I have rechecked it today.
It definitely seems to be leaking where the rubber hose joins the metal pipe.
There may be a slight hole in the rubber pipe,i will remove the rubber pipe, cut it back a half inch and see if it still leaks,

Yeah,it does seem to be leaking from the metal pipe.
