I have a P reg (1997) 1.6 8v Punto Sporting which I bought about 6 months ago. I noticed but didn't worry that much about the hand break warning light didn't work.
I have now tried to see where the problem lies. I've pulled the dash unit out, taken the three bulbs out and tested them and they all seem to be okay. The fuse controlls all the dashboard lights - the others are working so it's not that. I can't see any damage on the circuit board on the back of the dash unit.
Has anyone else had this fault or does any one have any ideas what else I can try. I'd like to fix it if I can because the break fluid light and break pad wear lights are all affected.
Thanks,
PS New to this and Puntos. Loving my Sporting so far though!
