Engine idling sensor? That name dont sound right


Usually stalling at lights is 1 of 2 things

The likely culprit is a blocked up throttle body - the butterfly valve closes and shuts off the air surply before the idle control valve can catch up

If the car starts straight up after - this is the likely cause

Fix = cleaning the flap/valve with some wrag soaked with wd40/brake clean etc
Ensure the bore and flap are nice and clean
Dont skimp on the idle valve as well

If the car fails to restart when hot and u have to wait for it to cool down a small amount - then your looking at the crabk position sensor going dead

On the 8v its a diy fox 1x bolt and 1 clip
Feed wire around and hey Presto! 10min fix

Have cleaned where you said and the butterfly also but still no good, when the car stalls it restarts no problem I just have to keep the revs up to prevent the stalling.

Where do I get the info'
from re this bold and wire modification?

If your spabking it and suddebly dump the clutch - so your coasting - does it stall then?

Or when your braking and clutching to a stop......

Also i dont understand the re wire thingy?

just had same problem with a panda every time you rev car when hot it stalled. believe it or not it was the crank sensor worth a try only cheap
