Hi everyone,
I have a Fiat Punto 1.2 Active on a 54 reg and i've just had left and right lower suspension wishbone arms fitted at Halfords. The thing is i'm having to fight the steering as it seems to be swaying left and right and i'm fighting it to keep it straight. Does anyone have any idea as what it might be as before i got them done everything was ok when driving it.

Hi poolieboy and welcome:wave:
That sounds like a screw loose or missing, dangerous and undriveable.
Get back to them asap and tell them they messed up and something is seriously wrong.

Thanks for that I'm going in to see them tomorrow.

I wouldn't trust Halfords to fit a bulb, never mind anything important like suspension components! Regardless, yeah, get them to sort it as Brendan says, whatever is going on is directly related to whatever they've done.
I've just taken it to my local Halfords as the one i got it done at is closed on a sunday, they have sorted it out for me they tightened a few things up and now its driving perfectly.

The only conclusion is that they let cars out not tightened up.
It's difficult to put words on how big a No No this is especially suspension.
It could easily have ended very very badly.
I wouldn't go there again.

P.S. In fairness to them and your fellow motorists you might consider making a formal complaint to the manager in writing. They can't be expected to clean house if nobody tells them what's going on.

I would report it to my local trading standards office, it's totally unacceptable. You could if feeling kind go and have a word with the manager at the branch that messed it up and see what they say.
If you don't tell someone they can't fix the root cause (incompetence, training, distraction, excessive time pressure or whatever) so it doesn't happen again.
