Hi

My son has just bought a '08 plate 1.2 petrol Grande Punto with only 18,000 genuine miles on the clock. The engine warning light has come on and the EBD codes are P0300 (random misfire), P0302 (cylinder 2 misfire) & P0303 (cylinder 3 misfire).
I changed the coil pack, plugs and leads, and the fault hasn't gone away. I have also flushed the engine and replaced the oil and filter, and the air filter.

Strange thing is that the engine runs smooth and there is no sound or feeling of a misfire!. The vacuum hoses seem to be OK too.

What would you recommend as the next thing to check? I will probably have to take it in for a full diagnostic check. But would be good if it is something simple!

The fact that is doesn't feel like it is misfiring is puzzling.

Compression checked and all seems fine. The engine warning light flashes normally after about 10 mins and reaching 2500 / 3000 revs, then goes out. Warning light flashes, not on fully and goes out after just a few seconds.
Any other ideas?

In addition, the warning light doesn't come on when the fuel tank is below 1/4 full and flashes more when full tank.
Car runs fine, but this one is a bit of a head scratcher!

Any ideas?
