Technical Ignition switch bolts

Hi, what is the best method to remove ignition switch shear bolts?

Drill head off shear bolt , remove lock assembly , unscrew remaining part of bolt.
Bolt steel is quite soft and easy to drill.

Long nosed mini vice grips on the exposed threads. That's how I removed mine. Cracked loose real easy

Vice grips doesn't destroy threads?

This is what I did, I replaced the bolts with allen headed bolts when I put the new lock in.

Not if you're careful'). You only need to grab the very end .

Or centre punch and hammer on head to loosen.

hammer+screwdriver or chisel to loosen and pliers to unscrew
