After changing a rear indicator bulb today half way through I heard like a click in the car and ever since I've had no indicators or hazards(if I go to turn either on the dashboard arrows flash very fast) and also the speedo needles have started pinging.

Haven't got a clue. Anyone?

Could be you just blew the fuse? There is a passenger seat fuse box on right hand drive cars that is in front of you in that seat. The cover shows what each fuse does. Likely to be a relay also for such a high load. They can be pulled out and swapped to check operation.

Get that bulb out pronto and start agAin
The relay for indicators on this car is Built nto the body computer so can easily be damaged

Okay so what I've done is put the normal bulb back in and swapped the relays over in the fuse box and I'm still having no joy lol

It's cAuses the main beam light to come on when starting the car and then it goes off I have no idea what it is

What the hell did you put in there if it wasn't an "" Original Bulb""??

LED?

First of all - get EVERY FUSE CHECKED

However - suddenly high beams now working and no indicators does sound like the BSI has just blown :(

S and B will probably say same now

ziggy

Check the battery to body negative lead is clean and not lose at any connection

Is it the main beam warning light, usually blue near Speedo, that comes on and is it just coming on just while the starter motor turning?

Also go back to the rear lamp you were working on and have a really good look at the near by wires.
You may have accidentally unplugged an earth wire where it connects to the body.
Or separated a plug and socket
That could have been the click.
Very good hunting , don't panic.

I don't gamble but if I did I would put money on a fault with ground wire or faults with ground wires.
Main beam warning lamp lit while cranking on starter is a classic indication.
Flicking gauges another classic.
Oddly since yesterday on another punto post someone is having speedgear display issues they have been advised to take out their rear lamps and check all the wiring and clean it all.

Please come back on and post results.

Be careful swapping relays around unless you are totally 100%sure you are swapping identical components.

Sometimes things that look like relays are much more complicated electronic controllers , all sorts of things could happen if the wrong part is put in the wrong place.

I am so happy you have found and fixed the problem .
A huge well done to you for , posting what you found and to the forum member/s who pointed you in the right direction.

Oh which fuse was it , size in amps and location in fuse box ?
May help other members in future.
