Technical Error

My mum and dad have got a mk2 punto 1.9 JTD and she has just braked hard and an error message came up on the clock display it said LED ERROR has anyone got an idea what it means is something to do with the clock or is it to do with the ECU

All the leds on the dash are what we call smart leds. If a compnonet to that led is disconnected, then on old cars the light would also go off, as well on this car the light stays on. the compnonet must turn the light off it self or it stays on. It also has a self check feature ,which has probably found a fault with on of the leds.Only a new set off clocks will cure it if an led has gone and must be fiited buy a dealer as requires proxi alignment and mileage putting back on
