Technical Headlight remove from MK2B

I could not see any thread if it required to remove the front bumper before remove the headlight on Punto Mk2b?, which I have never took it off on Punto before any advice?
Thank you

hi.

the mk2 had brackets above and BELOW the lamp, access was obscured by the bumper..

the B is probably the same..
 try and find images of the lights..

Haveing replaced a H/L on a 2B...it helps lots to unbolt the bumper and lower it a little in order to access the bolts on the headlamp mounts...and get the light out.
Bumper doesnt need to be removed completely, but undoing it and moving it a couple of inches makes a big difference.

i used to kick the lower grille out it became quite easy after a while
then with a ratchet and 10mm socket get on the floor and put your arm up the whole undo the bolt on bottom of light
then do upper headlight bolts
now unless you have the foam under the headlight (some do some dont) if it hasnt the headlight comes out fairly easy if you dont do it heavy handed
if foam there then as said bumper needs undoing at one side and both bolts under grille, be aware the splines disintegrate on these cars so make sure tool is a good fit before turning
theres an 8mm bolt to wing bottom and also a further splined bolt so you really need to take liner out and the philips screws never undo unless you clean them out with a wire brush use a good quality screwdriver and slightly tighten before undoing to get them started
see its easy:D
