Exclamation ESP and Hill Hault Lights

After reading the other threads, some things are common however there are some differences. I've just had my break pads and discs replaced, in the hopes this would help. It didn't.
I have the engine warning light on, ESP warning and Hill Halt warning light. The car drives normal, and seems in perfect working order, apart from obviously the errors being displayed and the the things they do, now don't work.
Yes it's cold and damp and has been for the past month, however the issue only happened two days ago, and hasn't changed.
Any idea's on what to do, to see if it helps?
Many thanks for your time

The exact same thing has been happening with our punto over the last few week.we Have had the pedal switch and battery replaced today to eliminate them have also noticed the cooling fan constantly running and that the temperature needle doesn't move when these faults all come on at the same time.
I will be following you're thread to see what others say.

Re: ESP and Hill Hault Lights

In addition, today I have noticed the fan is racing and the temp gauge is either reading zero or not working. Hard to tell.

Exactly the same as ours. I had the codes read and p0115 coolant temperature sensor circuit came up. After doing some research on here I'm going to check the wiring and earth strap to eliminate them as the temp sensor is new and this has been happening before it was replaced.

Any chance you could advise me, on how to do the same. Would be greatly thankful I'll also keep you updated on any changes I get, that could help you as well.

Re: ESP and Hill Hault Lights

As Ziggy has said the best bet is to get a code reader on it.

A common fault is the temperature sensor but it could be any manner of things.
Wheel Speed Sensor, Faulty ABS Sensor.

I even had mine come on due to a bad earth on my rear light cluster.

Re: ESP and Hill Hault Lights

I'm taking it in tomorrow to have it looked at. I'll update what I'm told when I get the diagnosis in hopes it'll help others

Re: ESP and Hill Hault Lights

Wait what?

Were blaming a System that not even related to it?

A Engine Temperature sensor is going todo NOTHING with the Hill Hold / ESP setup

My advice - punto's are little ****s when it comes to low batteries - can always get the battery for free at halfords

Re: ESP and Hill Hault Lights

Aye. Battery was down to 53%. Replaced it with a new one this morning, and the lights have gone. Low valtage guy said and explained he owned one before and had same issue with battery. Quick, cheap fix. Cost me grand total of 50 and that includes new battery, fitting and diagnostic plus a couple of other little jobs he did, such as pumping up the tires, fixing airbag light etc.
