Quick and easy question. 2000 Mk2 punto 1.2 8v. I sheared one of the studs going from my exhaust manifold to the block. I should be able to get it out as there is enough still sticking out. Where can I get a replacement stud or what are the specifications to get a generic one. Thanks, Conor

Where are you? I have a good few studs, also threaded bar to cut to any length.

Thanks for the responses. I'm in Cork city. Is it a standard thread? Can I just buy a threaded bar and cut it to fit? I have nct Saturday, do you think they will fail me for it? I have the broken bit so I might glue it back on in the meantime.

Doubt it. Unlikely they would spot it and even if they did, if the exhaust is not blowing past the gasket they can go ahead with the emissions test.
