Hi guys, I've just bought a new facia (see attached) for aftermarket stereos and was about to fit it, when I realised that it has two massive plastic clips on the side that don't seem to have any release mechanism!

Once it's clipped into the console, how do I ever get it out again? It seems to cover all the console bolt heads once in as well, so I see no way of getting it back out!

Thanks in advance!

Mine isn't a great fit either but it works.

Quick question though - do your stereo units push all the way in or do they poke out a little it? I can't get mine all the way back because of all the wiring harness and aerial wire (I assume).

Ha funny you guys should say that... I tried clipping mine in today, but the clips are about 5mm too short! I guess I'll have to drill out the holes in the console a bit to make them fit :/

Punto stereo facia's are naff - never yet to find one that "actually" fits perfectly....

AS for getting all the wiring in behind the stereo - is a Royal PAIN IN THE ARSE

its a case of many attempts to get it to settle nicely and happily

The stock stereo is about 1Inch shorter - and is a direct plug fit
Aftermarkets are about 1Inch longer obiously and you have a massive plug to fit in somehow
its totally do-able but it takes me several attempts and i dread the day i decide to take mine out again

Ziggy
