Hi Guys,

Just need some help and advice on replacing the stock radio in my car.

I have found out that this is the current model of radio in my Fiat; BLAUPUNKT BP2375. Here is a photo of the radio:

I want to upgrade this just so it allows me to play my own music from my phone via bluetooth or aux cable.

I wonder if someone would know how to replace this radio? and how easy it is, as i believe i would need to get a new shell due to the incorporated design?

any recommendations for a way to do this, a replacement radio with AUX features/bluetooth, would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers
Jacob

top plastic just pulls out, you will probably break it, then pull radio out and throw new on in
If the plastic will most likely break do you happen to know if there is an outer shell i can buy that will fit 3rd party radios?

You can buy an adaptor plate from e-bay ETC, however since the head unit you have gives quite good sound - especially if you have the factory sub - you can buy an adaptor lead that plugs into the back where the factory multichanger would go which will give you an aux lead. My son did this on his and rated it.

If I don't have to change out the radio, that would save me some hassle. Do you happen to have a link to an adapter that would have this function, I can't seem to find one myself?

Also here is a picture of the back to help if you need to know which adapter I need?

The circled 8 pins are for a CD changer (which is just an AUX input pretty much).

So I'm guessing this will work?

Not tried it so don't shoot me if I'm wrong.

The add claims it WILL NOT work with factory fitted Blaupunk head units though. Probably because there is no way for the user to force it into CD changer mode.

EDIT: After doing a little research I've found:

Easy to plug into the back of the fiat punto mk2 blaupunkt radio unit that comes as standard.

Unfortunately, you can't just switch to the aux input (whatever is plugged into the 3.5mm jack) as you would switch from the CD player to Radio. Instead, you have to hold that 'Source' button as you turn the radio unit on, and it should switch to 'Changer', so named since the aux input is designed for a CD Changer (I believe). This process is a bit tricky, and doesn't always work first time - but keep at it.

So it seems it will work.

For £4 you can't really go wrong for having a go.

Yeah, bang on with that one - in fact my lad still has his lead. The car he fitted it in was written off so we stripped it, the one he bought to replace it is only a Mia so doesn't have the factory sub so he fitted an aftermarket head unit & an Edge sub. On ebay you can either get something like 221446147494 or go mental and get something like 321947675848 which has more connections - you decide!

Are you confirming it works then?

What model Punto was it used on?

MK2 or Mk2B?
