Hi..

I tried posting this issue in the newbie section..
Since then it has changed a bit, I have 2002 punto jtd 80hp.
At low revs it has a constant eml and when revved to about 3.5-4 thousand revs it goes out.. It does this consistently.
The only fault code I have is p0235 high reading.
I clear the code, It returns.
It ticks over fine and starts great, Just this if driven it feels held back as if underfuelled.
I am under the impression maybe its the map sensor??
PLEASE HELP.

Just make sure the pipe isn't off to the air filter housing, fuel filter change is recent? Those map sensors are expensive so need to be sure

Ok thanks for replies, Flisko I know you replied to my other post in newbie section..
Not trying to double post just seems a bit different now eg the eml will go off.
Plus understand the site a bit better.
Plugging it into ecuscan does indeed clear then bring straight back the fault code.
So this is with engine off, key turned on..
Clearly a sensor issue I would say but I'm only learning..
If the fault jumps up without any actual running pressures etc, makes sense.

It has gsr induction kit, cleaned filter also tried with it removed.. Same
So this should eliminate the pipe off comment hopefully.
Maf has been tried unplugged, Same just bring maf code also.
Fuel filter changed not long ago.

Bosch map can be had new for £16 something ..

Havent tried them but apparently ok.. (reviews)
I will get that..

Also new boost solenoid ordered as it kept getting wet and was super cheap...
Could also be problem I think.

New maf ordered as at times I ran without it plugged in.. Think gsr wasnt helping it.
This car has had some stuff bought and no throwing money at it isn't the answer lol.

Cheers guys really hope it is the map sensor, Fiats are funny bugars at times
if anyone has anymore info given thes symptoms etc..

Just an update to this problem..

I replaced booost solenoid which made no difference and did'nt hold much hope it would..
Just got the map sensor out and cleaned it though it wasnt that bad..
Upon replacing I now have p0235 and p0236 codes.. Joy but the eml is now only on tickover as soon as some pedal is pressed it goes out.
So I will finally get the map replaced as it does look as if its gone bad.
I hope.
p0235 is a high reading
p0236 is an invalid reading.

Am I right I mean is there anything left?
It doesnt smoke and egr is blanked .

Right I've littered the sight a bit with same problem in different sections.. Thanks to anyone that helped.. The fault was map sensor replaced eml had to be reset but all good
