Technical Engine choking/misfire

Hello guys,

I have a problem with my car, It's happen when i shift early/hard acceleration.

When i start to drive if i shift to second gear fast, let say car on 15+- KPH

and i press the gas kind of hard the engine is choking for few seconds, also if

i slow down on bumpers and press the gas after the bumpers the engine choke for few second.

The problem also happen every time i shift early, today i try to kick down on

100KPH and i felt small choke, the engine was not accelerate linear.

the problem also appear when i stand with ac on, the rpm play.

I drive on fiat punto 2001 ELX 16v.

I search in the forum and find threads about the 8v and ecu problem,

but in my car the problem occur on certain time, when i cruise on the

highway or shift late(3400 rpm) the engine work smoothly.

Just feel lack of power the problem.

Do you guys has some advice for me?

No the engine light is off,

And the leads have been replaced 1 year ago to genuine part, and sparks plug are ok.

i unplug one lead and i saw a little rust inside the coil.

but i want to be sure before i spend money(in my country parts are very expensive)

well, misfiring if usually due to coil packs ht leads spark plugs, but if it was coil pack, engine light would be on, is car misfiring on idle?

When ac on the car misfire randomly every few seconds, when ac off, the car work good when the choke on, but when the rpm on ~750
It is strat to misfire but not always.
Especially while the car cold,
After half hour drive the car work great on idle but again some time it's still has a little mosfire
The main thing that it is happening when i shift early and press little hard on the gas, the engine suffer from lack of power for few seconds until the rpm rise.
On highway the engine run's great

on highway it works normally but not on idle, i would start with ht leads and spark plugs but as you said parts are expensive there, try to get another working punto and start switching parts till it works or go to a scrapyard explain the situation and if they will be so kind to give you parts to test

I will try to find from scrapyard parts to identify which part has gone bad.

i have the same problem with my 1.2 16v


i have changed plugs and airfilter and cleaned the throttle body with no succes..
