Hope I can get some insight on this. On the punto it grinds when building speed up in first and second gear I press the clutch and the noise goes. If I let off the revs with it in gear it goes really noisy. It's like the gears are grinding together. Has anyone had this problem before will I be looking at another gearbox? Pain in the back side.

Is it leaking any oil? Is there oil in it?

Gearbox oil has been refilled due to a clutch change so that's full 100% just incase is there any way to check?

Was it like this before the clutch change? Check gearbox oil by seeing if it is level with the filler plug on front side of gearbox. Oil should be up to filler level.

Yes it was like this before if I can remember I bought the car but didn't drive it too long as the clutch had gone. Gearbox oil level seems to be all OK there as well.

done some research and seems like it the input bearing? Does it sound about right?
