Nice one!
Thanks for the replies.
I just had another check over it, and at the bottom of the engine it says 16V, but at the top (cylinder head), it has the code TB46777101.
Now, I googled this number to see what came up, and all I got was 8V cylinder heads.
So is it possible that an 8V cylinder head has been put on a 16V bottom section?
Should this be ok then to use?
Well I would say this engine looks more like an 8V mk2 1.2L. It looks pretty basic on top, just flat with a square oil filler cap and ECU socket. Except it says 16V at the bottom. Plus as I said, the alternator is different so they sent that as well. The top part of the 16V is totally different and you cannot see much at all thru the oil filler cap. It has a cast aluminium top with multiple allen keyed caps for accessing the securing bolts inside. The 8V just has a pressed sheet metal cover bolted down at the bottom edge.

16v alternator is same as 8v unless aircon is involved
