Pretty much as it says in the title.
I have a 03 Punto I think it's Mk2 (fuse box on right hand side of steering wheel.)
When i was given the car the interior light didn't work. I was just glad to have a car. lol. The radio still works, the fuse f39 isn't blown and the wires only go in one way.
So, not being a car guy I'm rather confused. lol

IF a mod want's they can delete this Thread. I found problem it was with the actual connection. The three prongs that connect to the socket, the middle one was bent up a little too high, enough to still fit in the socket but too much to not connect. So bent th middle one down a little and made sure they all lined up properly, not have a working light.

Glad you found the issue Good to leave these kinds of threads in place though for anyone else who has the same issue to find

Apologies for hijacking this thread, I've got a similar problem; the interior light hasn't worked since I got the car 6 months ago. Its a rocker type single bulb unit in a 2005 1.2 8v Punto, if I switch the light it works so the bulb isn't blown, but it won't come on when the doors open. The dash warning light comes on to tell me the doors are open so the switch in the door must be ok.

I'll check if the middle pin is making contact as OP mentioned, but does anyone have any other ideas?

I'm going to look at fitting the larger interior light as suggested on the forum but not till I get the existing one working properly.

I got same problem since view days with my punto 2005.
The interior light does not respond to the doors.. Door open dash warning works..
Did you found any solution ?
