Hi after some advise.
Changed head gasket and done the cambelt while I was there. ..

My issue is it won't start now...

Turns over a few cranks then stops. Have to retry to start... only done it a few times and am thinking I haven't got the timing lined up properly. Although I (by eye) lined up tdc to the mark on the head and as best I could the bottom Mark which was very vague but seemed lined up.... I cranked by hand and was relatively free which would go maybe 3 strokes then a tight one... is it out of sync. .?

Even with the timing out a tooth it should still fire up and run almost normally until you ask for full power.
Often this issue is because the alternator belt pulley on the crank does not have the little pin lining up with the hole.

its 8v
i already told you to check that little pip on alternator pulley
