Hi all,

I bought roof light from Alfa Mito with a red LED ambient light, and to make functional these led lights I need to connect the cable to the cigarrette lighter, but this options requires lot of work for me.

I decided instead, to connect the leds all time ON.

The question is ... if we turn on the reading lights on purpose, and close the car, ¿how long it takes to shut off the lights? I tried almost 20 minutes and the lights don't power off automatically.

I wonder how much is the timer to see if it is feasible to do what I want on Mk2.

The idea is that the leds turn off securely after X minutes when I close the car.

¿Any ideas about this?

The punto has 3 settings for the interior light

Door activated - with fade off
ON
OFF

The reading lights - if switched on - STAY ON

Wiring to cigarette socket is easy if you use a piggyback fuse off the fusebox
