Does anyone have a diagram of the ECU PIN out for a 52 Reg 1.2 80bhp Sporting?
188A5 engine... Spotted a previous post for the 188A4 8v 60BHP engine but not for the 1.2 80Bhp 188A5 :-(

Thanks in advance.

Is your car a MK2?

I have a 2004 Mk2B 16V 80 BHP dynamic with the same engine. I have never seen a pin out for the ECU. I have traced the crankshaft sensor and have a picture showing how to power up the CPU 'on the bench' so you can connect it to the diagnostics on a computer.

What do you need it for?

Hi, I have a fault with the pre cat lambda sensor.. If I put my OBD reader on the car I cannot see any variation in the voltage reading coming from the ecu as I rev up the engine.. Post cat sensor seems to read OK. I have swapped sensors around and even bought a new one which is now in the pre cat position but still no voltage variation.... If I connect my multimeter into the circuit the reading goes up and down between 0.3 to 0.7 volts but nothing on the live data on the OBD reader... Just wondering if it is a broken cable in the loom so wanted to test out the continuity but no idea want the pin out is at the ecu end :-(

The 4 wire oxygen sensors have two wires for the 12 volt sensor heater circuit and two different wires for the 3.5V bias voltage.

I forget what i did with my oxygen sensor when i was testing it. I did however put pins thru the oxygen sensor reading wires and tested for that 3.5V when ignition was on and then observed the variation when the car was running. For some reason i never looked for the 12 volts if my memory is correct.

If your wiring is good then the spare sensor will get hot with the ignition on.
