hi guys, a few months back I was looking at a Punto JTD, but for convenience I have taken on my dads 2000 ghia x mondeo 2.0 petrol which is a lovely car and has snever given me any problems. Since then I been out on a test drive with my brother in a fabia VRS which I thought was amazing. This led me back to the punto again and even more so when I saw the remaps Angel tuning do. Now I am really tempted to get a 2 yr old jtd and get it remapped straight away, can any of you guys persuade me to get one? Basically how good is the JTD remap, does it blow you away with the 125 bhp as the reports sugguest? Any thoughts welcome.

thanks

Welcome to the forum (y)

A remapped JTD will be impressive. Someone off another 'Taxi' (see pic below) forum had been out in the same Punto mentioned by Alex (Ghost) and he was really surprised by it aswell!

thanks guys, I think its time I bought my punto jtd, been looking on autotrader and ideally would like a 03 with lowish miles for less than 5k, eleganza spec would be nice but they always seem to be hard to find. Anyway i am sick of reading how good these are with a remap and I want one!

i was driving a mk1 punto turbo diesel up until recently and really wanted a punto jtd but looking at the figures i am going for a brava jtd instead. it has 105bhp as standard and for around £200-£300 they can give it as much as 150bhp i have seen one for sale for £1700 and its a v reg. sounds like a bargain to me.

ye3 the Punto 1.9 JTD is a car begging for a power hike. I owned a 2001 elx and took it to 118bhp with a PSI tuning box. It tranformed the car into a rocket GTI eater. See dieselchiptuning.com or email me [email protected] for more details. Still got my Punto JTD power box for sale. Chopped the car for a 4dr Skoda. Nel
