Hi everyone,
I have noticed that when my front wheels spin and ASR tries to control them, it is not the ASR light that flashes on my dash but the ESP one. The system appears to be working as my front wheels don't spin (I can hear the noise from the brakes) but is ASR working properly?

This is the ASR light that is supposed to flash when the system is enganged:

But the ESP light flashes instead

-If I turn ASR off the system is disenganged completely, as it should.
-I reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery but it had no effect.
-My tyres are pretty worn and a bit slippery if that plays any role.
-Also, I got a Hill-Holder failure warning a few days ago but when I turned the engine off and then back on, the warning was gone.
-I also have another Hill-Holder issue which is explained here:https://www.fiatforum.com/punto-ii/424433-hill-holder-issue.html

A bit tired by not being able to keep up with all the problems... :(

Hi,

The ASR forms part of the ESP package. The flashing ESP whilst driving indicates that the ESP or ASR is working. (controlling the skid)

The ASR light is only to show that it is deactivated or malfunctioning.
