i got this totalled mk2 1.2 8v with aircon with perfectly good engine and gearbox and everything else apart from chassis
and another mk2 1.2 8v no aircon with ****ed up engine, rest of the car is good, so i was wondering is it possible to take engine from air con car and put it in to non air con car or is there just to much work involved to make it happen

I can't see a problem, the basic engines are the same. The crank pulley may have an extra row for the A/C belt, either leave it on or swap for the non-A/C one.

whole engine with everything on it + gearbox is that below 200kg?

Wiring looms may forwell be different as there is connection for AC that you wont have

You may need to keep some brackets for alternators and things, but with a little work, you could make a dead horse live once again
