erm...just wonderin, you know how the abarth punto has the white ring bit around the edge of the tach and the speedo n stuff, well can you buy the dials like that for a normal punto?

Also, if the dials are different e.g. angle where 30mph is on a normal punto is half way up but on the abarth its quater the way up, how can the car be set up to read the markings more accuractly?

I have a fiat punto MK2 16V Sporting and i bought lockwood white dials from www.lockwooddials.com. i thought yeh this will make my car dash look even more sporty then the standard black ones. OK! now fitting them in. firstly i had to take my whole speedo out of the dash, u also have to dissonnect a connection to release the speedo out. anyway after i done all that and tried to replace the dials was another thing all together. i had to get a spoon to take out the dial pins......easy.........god hell no...because on the top the silver bits r caps. once u get the caps off u have to take the pins out....i was nearly in tears trying to remove them out....after at least a 30min attempt i gave up. so i thought i'd best leave it and put it back. putting those caps back on was a mission.u have to be very careful cos i ended up pushing them in to hard.....anyway all puttin it all back together and back in the car i was relieved...phewww! then i took it for a test drive only to find the mph needle not working properly.when i'm driving and lets say i am stoppin at traffic lights & the cars stopped , the pin on the speedo is still 20mph mark and moves down slowly then shoots to 0...yeh i know i messed it up. and a replacement speedo cost over £250 from fiat...so be careful if changing ur dials...i regretted it to this day.

oooohh the ones i got you could fit over the needles and i was a lil rough with them but they are all working now and the speedo one i was worried about cos i had to unplug the speedo wire at the back pluged it in and it was fine
