Been reading the fiat forums for couple of years and found them great.

Question) Iv'e taken my aftermarket out but have two cables (one is guess is the ariel) and dont know how they fit back to stock head unit? (i might be loosing the plot).

Had it a long time, passed mot about a week after head went, (about amore than a year after the head gasket got repaired, it happened again, i said to the former mechanic if it needed skimming to get it skimmed -

yeah it overheated, light went on, heater went cold and so i turned car off as soon as. it had strange gurgling noises previous few weeks
the 1st time was because of a water pump, the new one worked as checked it with friend

just a random thought, not long after the head gasket and bolts etc got repaired, when i got it back went for a 30 min journey and when parking the car, it decided to rev like crazy by itself so i turned the car off quick. When I switched it back on no problems.. very weird

Strange gurgling = Air in the cooling system

So yea - you've been hearing the symptoms and chose to ignore it.......

Air in = coolant out
No coolant = Pump cant pump
Pump cant pump = Car overheats

As for the random revving its balls off - unlikely

Looks like it needs a compression test + Coolant pressure test to confirm HG is okay / dead and to find the coolant leak

If HG is okay and leak is found, you need to be 100% sure the cooling system is bled up okay
