Hey

Can anyone give the info on whether or not there is any true mechanical difference between the two engines?
Also, on a side note, is there any mechanical difference between the two at all (i.e. suspension etc)? I have no idea, this is party in reference to getting a Haynes and partly to do with a turbo conversion ive got planned.

The people who actually know will come in a moment but I believe the answer is "no mechanical difference" - just looks.

You mean you've got an AA battery and he's only got an AAA battery? :D

Good to hear. I came into possesion of a Baltic Grey 1.2 16v Active Sport tonight. Im intending to fit the Autotest Turbo Kit. Frankly, i dont care if people say its a waste of money. Personally i think its going to be freaking awesome. How many Puntos have got one eh?
Plus, i will officially have the most expensive/mental single mod out of all the people i know. Im going to be ringing my insurers tomorrow to see what they say. Might as well find out what itll cost me to have the turbo, body kit, wide range of interior/exterior mods, rims, lowering and sweet ICE eh?

So is it a 2b you've got?

You'll have fun with that. the last one i heard of had problems with its mapping. I would have though the van arken kit and a suitable stand alone managment system would bodge together??? Possibley be less than £3k for parts too. After all the guys put it on the 1242 60's. Surely it would fit the other fire's.

Hey

17, which means i wont get insured, or wont get insured without selling all my major organs. Indeed. This is more of a pipe dream atm. The Turbo would be the last thing im going to fit, however i want to know about the feasibility of this so i can plan accordingly. Id be interested in the VA idea. Anyone got any information on this - websites etc?

Not much difference except the mk2b comes in a very nice Flavour which is the "1370cc 16v Sporting (The one that comes with colour coded mirrors and Sideskirts)" which is the latest edition to the FIRE engine range and I must say its f**king awesome its got such a nice sound because of its 11:1 compression ratio. In my opinion its probally the best model to buy best value / performance trade off. You also get the nice dials and interior :)
