hi again
if the coolant sensor is faulty does it make a difference to fuel consumption as i think mine is on its way out and i struggle to get about 31mpg on my punto 75sx?
also anyone any ideas on water loss about half a litre in 60 miles,i have looked around the engine and there is no marks from water leeks and there is no sign of head gasket failure.i think i have rough car !!!! :bang:

check for damp footwells in ya car that could water leak from heater matrix also. check for leaks when theengine is running not off stick some cardboard iunder it and let run for few mins and checl for water spots. half a liter in 60 miles is alot. dodgy coolant sensor dont think that woudl effect mpg as i think it only gives a reading to the temp gage for you to see. someone will confirm this i know.

31 mpg is low very low. have you checked oil level ? air filter blocked ? exhaust ok ? does it sound ok when running ?
