Hi, after a break in I need to remove the lock barrel on the passenger side door so I can have the panel bent back into shape, is this an easy job, and can anyone give me guidance on how to do it, I have removed all interior panels and it seems as though there’s a plastic cover over the lock itself.

its mk 2.5 2004 model I need to know how to get the lock out of the door first before seperating it please.

If there is a metal shield infront of the lock remove the 2 allen key screws first,then pull out retaining clip & remove barrel.

yes there is a metal shield infront of the lock, Ive removed this, now do I just pull the piece of metal out that goes around the lock on the inside of the door it looks like its holding it on and then which way does the barrel come out through the inside of the door or the outside?

yes pull clip out & lock comes out on the outside,disconnect the rod first,refit in reverse order.
