Quick question to anyone :


Do all Puntos have the ability to turn headlights on with the ignition off?


I switched my car off, took the key out and knocked the 'lights pod' on the steering column forward, the lights came on, shock-horror!! I thought the lights couldn't come on with the ignition off?

All UK cars by law (lighting regulations act 1988) have to have parking lights so yes

They also have the follow me home lights activated with the main beam controls

The "follow me home lights"
Dont show on the dash board
But each high beam flash will give you a 30second healight and rear sidelight light

on the mk2b's it'll tell you how long you activated it for

i think the max is either 210seconds or 3mins cant remember

But its nice if you walk down a dark drive or just nipping to a cash machine which is dark, you dont have to leave lights on


Alot of cars have a basic follow me, my mums picasso will do it for 30seconds only tho

As Andy mentioned this sounds like the follow me home feature which few are aware of and even fewer use. With the key out if you pull or push the light stalk the lights will come on for a few minutes to let you drop the keys on the floor in the dark, find them and open your front door

its Pull
High beam flash
1 flash = 30seconds

push back locks hi-beams on, which iirc doesn nothing
