Got an odd one...

I keep getting a light bulb warning coming up on my dash with "brake light failure (both sides)" and " Side light Failure (both sides)"

I've checked all my lights. All working fine, no disco, dull or blown bulbs.

Next step was going to be checking the fuses and connections. But i for the life of me cannot find a fuse box diagram for my fuse box?


Anybody have any idea what it could be?

Found a diagram! Only trouble is it doesn't say about a side light fuse, only dipped and main.

Anybody know if its fused in with one of them? Or even the brake light?

Check all the lights at the same time. turn on sidelights, hazards, reverse and brake lights. If there is an earth problem, they will fight. If they work individually, it is most likely an earth, that will show up when more than one circuit needs it.

Do checks as per PB's post, unlikely to be a fuse since they work.

First suspect for me would be the black earth wire at the plugs to the rear light clusters is either corroded at the pins or melted or both.
