Ok here goes, Im new to this but.... I have recently had my windscreen replaced.... I noticed a puddle in my passenger footwell, i got the guy to come back out and it has nothing to do with the windscreen. I have a bit of damp on the door just above the speaker but not wet enough to cause the puddle.... any ideas? It hasn't been running in 4 months and it only occurs after raining or if its been icy :(

First off are the drain tubes in the wiper scuttle clear of debris. If you don't keep poking them free with a stick they will block up and collect a pool of water that can find it's way inside.
Water coming in generally leaves a trail. Dry out the inside, take the carpet up if you like then get some one to chuck water at the car while you watch from inside.

Also, check underneath, these cars are getting on.

If there's a hole through the floor pan, it's only some felt and the carpet between you and the road.

Edit: just reread your post, probably not this...

Its been a while but I finally found where the water is coming from and to my relief it is in fact the door seal. Not sure how r why as the seal appears to be fine but its getting in somehow and sitting at the bottom before eventually overflowing into my car... thinking of making a hle in the bottom to allow it to drain out...

Has that door ever taken a knock, been replaced or someone tried to pull the top out to break in and how are the hinges looking ?
