thinking of servicing my punto gt once its insured n fully legal

how much would i be lookin at for a service im not going to fiat as its a 97 model with 99k on the clock so no warrenty etc

thinking of taking it to my local cheapo garage....

also what is checked on a service?

Alot of 'Fiat' garages do a 41point service including air filter,spark plugs,rear drums off etc,not bad for £69

is a oil n filter change included on that no idea when it was last done n i aint doing it ma sen

A standard service should at it's most basic level be an oil change and a new oil filter...

Yep & service book is stamped if you have one,its a good cheaper option to the normal service,alot of people use these 41point services & you get a MOT included for £89 if your car needs one.

ah i dont have a service book or anything like that the garage that repaires my families cars said around £80 for all oils n filter changes unless i needed new brakes

Not bad I guess but does that include plugs & MOT?

he said he will check to see if the plugs are platinum tipped or summet he said some are and dont need changing within so long and im guessing it has new leads as well

but doesnt include a mot as min has a full year any way
