hiya my abs warning lights come on when i turn the ignition to on but not far enuf to start and then it goes off after 4/5 seconds is this normal

didnt notice it untill i T-Connected the boost pipe dunno if i have dislodged anything while doing that

any help plz?

ABS systems run through a self test cycle every time ignition is switched on.

ah okies then no wory wasnt sure if id nudged any thing in the process of fittin the gauge

Yip normal. All that's happening is the light comes on until the car's system checks that everything is ok and once it discovers it is the light goes out. it's when the light stays on that you suspect something to be wrong.

You should notice that your airbag, power steering, oil etc etc lights come on and cancel after a few secs too when you start the car.

Note that some lights do stay on if you only turn the key to allow the elctrics to work without the engine turning over. The Battery light etc

Best thing to do is start the car and let it idle for a few secs. If no lights stay on for anything after 5 or 10 secs then your safe.
