My 02 punto has a clutch judder when run from cold. It is okay once the car has warmed up. More noticeable in reverse. Anyone else suffering with a clutch judder?

mk2 puntos are notorious for suffering from clutch judder. i have it at the moment more notice in reverse but also 1st. there is someone on this forum whos is on there 6th clucth and i know someone else had 4 clutchs.

He must have been an idiot to go through four clutches

Hi rwright Your cars out of warranty so I wouldnt bother taking it back to Fiat, they'll only charge you and put another duff clutch in. I dont even know what to suggest, but if theres no judder when its warmed up then its not too bad.....

New clutch, happened alot with my mates cinq alot and another mates mk1 punto. Its not unusual to see you have to have a few clutches in before it cures the judder, i dnt know why either. Maybe it has something to do witht he alignment or the release bearings?

Haha, famous already! My car is now out of warranty (as from April) but ive been told that in my case they have to keep replacing them until they find one that works.

Just ask them...its got to be worth a try.
