Hi

Got a problem since replacing my Punto's Headgaskit :bang:
Whenever i want to start the car, i have to unplug the sockets from the Block BOX and then re-connect them in order for the car to start, but lately even that doesnt work anymore, sometimes it works fine and when it does switch on, the orange COde symbol stays on the dash board and sometimes it dissapears as it should do.
One other trick i have learned in order to start the car is to put it into first gear and then switch on the ignition and after a few jumps it wud start.

I only have one blue kay for the car and my dealer says that i need to rplace the whole lock system to solve the problem which wud cost around £750.

Any help and advise wud be grately appreciated.

thanx

If its the ecu and code box which are stopping the car from working then buy replacement from ebay or a scrap yard. Youd have to buy a full set including ecu, code box, ignition barrel and key. If you do this it should work, feel free to correct me anyone!

or buy an ecu with a non soldered eeprom, and bung a chip in there. don't quote me on this, but i think one of mckrichs chips should work fine in a punto55.

I tested a cinq novitec chip in a punto60 and that worked fine (y)
