On my way home from work today, I accelerated and the car lost power for a second engine light flashed and then it picked up again, 2 mind later Eml came on and won't turn off!!! I can't connect to obd2 to get the code and the garage I took it to couldn't either, any ideas on what it could be or how to get the error code, thanks

Sometimes they can be a bit of an arse to get to connect, however if something on the can network has failed that could be the reason for your EML light and not being able to connect.
Personally I would disconnect the battery for an hour or two then go back and try and connect.
Reasonably though if you can't connect you may need to consider a new ecu/body computer

Ok thanks, I've got it booked in at another garage tomorrow, but they said if they can't read it they would get an auto electrician in to sort, just not sure it's worth spending the cash on...
It was a pressure sensor near the ear blocked up with carbon, all sorted now thanks to avon tuning!
