Technical Please help lady driver airbag fault!!!!!

Please someone help me!! My neighbour was having a fiddle with the battery the other day as my power steering keeps clicking off, but in doing so now my airbag light shows on the dashboard....how do I fix this?! I have a y reg punto (dunno what year that makes it) please help as I have 2 year old that comes in car with me!!! Tia

You could try disconnecting the negative terminal - for 15 minutes and see if the light goes off, otherwise it usually requires a code reset via a laptop and a cable.

what colour light?

RED = Drivers airbag,
Yellow - Passengers airbag

the passengers is controlled by a switch , which you use the car key to work,
try switch it also,

im putting 2 and 2 together here

IF the P/steering is having issues, usually it is battery related, because there isn't enough juice availible

Now the airbags too like plenty of juice, but just hardly touch the stuff

IF while cranking the voltage hits too low - the airbag ECU throws a fanny fit, throws the toys out the pram and logs off

I suspect a code read will show battery voltage too low

Clear the code

But dont be surprised if the code returns IF the battery is failing
