Hi all,

Hoping someone on here can answer my question because the main Fiat dealer couldn't and I can't find the answer on Google!

I need to replace the body control module (BCM) on my automatic Fiat Punto. I have found a set (BCM, fuse box, ECU and key set) on Ebay with matching part numbers, it is also from a 1.2 16v car (perfect right?!) the problem is that it has come from a manual car and I have a sneaking suspicion that this isn't going to be compatible with my automatic?

Does anyone know?

I have the option to buy, try it and return if not but I would still be forking out the labour costs of the auto electrician and I don't know if it's worth it?

Can anyone help please?

i do believe that the ecu is set up differently for an auto
i arent sure
i sometimes wonder what fiat dealers and their master tecs do all day or is it a case of they dont want to be **** because they just want to sell you a new 500 large with extra fries

you dont say what your problem is which doesnt help
to be honest and no offence here ive had a belly full of customers lately expecting me to fix their cars with half information given to the point i think i need to take a very large break
