Got the rear badge in the post today.. How did you snap the two prongs off? I don't want to damage the badge...

Rhys

sidecuts is best

ive made a few rear lit badges now using lots of ebay leds and changing the blue to yellows and other colours
need to make one now with an smd

Iirc theres a single bolt in the middle of the badge
I looked under the bootlid trim and there was no place for me to be able to undo a bolt. Also, I have read before that the badge is just glued on.

If there is a bolt, do you know if it is undo-able? I can't see anywhere to even try and get a screwdriver in. If this is the case then i have just waste £20 on a badge for nothing...

no bolt
they are located into 2 grommets to line it up and some sticky to hold it
you just need to eat more spinach and try again:)

On the new badge that I brought, it had two lugs.. I cut them off.. was this a bad idea?

Also, do I just need to heat up the area and then pull it off? Any tips on how to do this?

lugs aren't important if you line it up straight:)
why not drill into old badge on car and put and old screwdriver into hole and get mean(y)

Got round to putting on my Abarth badge for the rear of my car.

After a lot of heating, wedging, forcing and breaking :0... I finally got the old Fiat badge off, and boy was it knackered! (The front plastic cover that holds the letters FIAT fell off before the backing did!)

The new badge went on a treat. That was after a mammoth task of getting all the glue off...

But the finished product looks so much better than I ever expected it to look! It gives my car a more youthful look to the old worn out blue Fiat badge.

Pictures to follow,

Rhys
