Hi all I was wondering if you could stop me from barking up the wrong tree.
While trying to diagnose why my wifes 1.2 16v speedgear is misfiring. With the bonnet was up & the ignition on to power up my OBDkey I first heard the fuel pump buzzing but when it stopped after a few seconds there was still a high pitched buzz eminating from the engine, the best I can describe is it sounded like a mosquito. Any clues ???? injector possibly ????
Forgot to mention it has a new coil, plugs & new leads are going on tomorrow.

Car has been running sweet, sailed through all MOT's, emisions are good. I was out in it Saturday morning when without any prior warning it started misfiring as I was going along at about 40mph. EML flashed up a couple of times but didnt stay on. Error codes tell me its got a random misfire. All other sensors seem to be doing what they should according by OBD reader. Hope the new leads sort it tomorrow, watch this space!

UPDATE: Replaced the HT leads this morning, all sorted now.
