hi
ive watched your video and notice light failure warning on
now bare with
ive got a punto with airconditioning im repairing so have all the front end off so no lights, anyway since disconnecting the power to the switch in the aircon radiator this light has shown on dash plus airbag lights are now permanntly on
ive not code read it or anything yet as ive only got half a car but im thinking it is possible due to aircon cabling and i see you have climate control so is there a possibility we have a wiring issue here?
has your car had a bump ? wiring messed with etc pay attention to say earth in front of battery to chassis and wiring to rheostat bolted to radiator fan cowling
im pushing straws here of course

by the way your bci will probably be a comfort one as you seem to have all the toys ,a simple way to assess if it is bsi is if you find one in a scrapyard with a key you could swap it out with yours and most things will work apart from engine management ie car wont run
if this cheap fix cleared your problem then a virgin reset of your engine ecu would have you up and running again

second hand bsi with key say €25
virgin resett €35

€2000 is a joke

Re: Ecu reading

Please gine you phone number to call you if is possible.
Thx.

Re: Ecu reading

thx again for the infos.

Re: Ecu reading

first i have to test one bcu from anoter punto to see what is happening?
thx

Abs esp Ebd are All on the one small abs unit under the bonnet, fog lights (front or rear?) under the bonnet bord? I have no idea, can't watch the video as on my phone I suspect a bad or damaged earth somewhere under the bonnet

There is two other earth points for dashboard too.

1 behind bonnet. Lever inside car
And one too the left ...under pwr steering ecu..

I'd also check the wire on back of alternator the thin one which is held on with 8mm nut.

What i dont get tho - is

The car is complaining of
A - lights failure, however the lights AREN'T on
B - ABS / EBD / Hill Hold failure, but the ABS light isn't on

could it be something as stupid as, the Dashboard has "lost" communication with the car?
Due to a power surge or fault dash?

Possibly would a proxyalignment would help? i dont know

It all seems to me, that there all linked to 1 thing, the dashboard, when nothing else is at fault

Ziggy

Hi all, first thx for the replays, i try to do the proxyalignment but the bsi is not comunicating with the laptop and the fiat ecu scan program, fiat ecu scan shows that are many stuff in bsi but they are not available to comunicate.
Fizicaly the abs is not working, if i make a storg brake is not working.

it would appear you will need professional help

Hi,

Sounds to me like Fiat have given you the correct diagnosis, however I dont see how they have got to 2000 euro. Last "new" one I fitted was around £400.

As has been suggested, if you want a second opinion then try another Fiat dealer or independent Fiat Specialist.

Cheapest rout as has been said would be a second hand BCU, but if your not confident on what you need and how to do it then best leave it to somrone who does.
