Put the new sidelights in the sporting this morning checked all my fluids oil there was ZILCH in there not a drop, been got some 5w40 fully synthetic 5l £10 on offer no castrol crap! Keep my eye out on it need sort these squeeky bloody brakes out need upload some pics of the sporting wish I had more time for the car like I use have with the Abarth could be selling in summer

U may find the fully synth been less viscous is escapong quicker via any leaks or been burnt off

Ull know if its been burnt by the blue smoke

Give a good check over under neath to spot any leaks
Check sump oil filter rocker and coil pack seal as been the common leak areas

Any oil is better then no oil
5w - 40 is fine in my eyes as its a little thinner for winter conditions

Hurts like hell when I get it in my eyes!

Won't do any harm, but silly, methinks, to buy synthetic at £10 a litre when semi synth is £14 for 5.

If I lived in Norway or even Aberdeen, I might use 5-40 in the winter. In Bolton, at the end of spring, I'd use the recommended 10-40 semi synthetic.
