I've got a Punto sporting engine (and all associated electrical gubbins) squeezed into my Cinquecento.

It runs great but seems to be hesitating under full load. Between 2000 & 3000 rmp it feels like it misfires, get beyond that and its ok, when, at aroud 4000 to 5000 rpm it does the same.

I've changed the leads and borrowed a set of coils from a good engine, and run some injector cleaner through.

Anyone any ideas - agian this only happens under full load

Hmmm, sounds like its going a bit lean, could try an angel re map?

Is it just hesitant or is it a real jerk?

Mine does the same around the 3000rpm mark although it is only tempremental and not persistant. Sometimes it really jerks almost like like your braking hard and then letting go and putting your foot hard on the gas.

Could be Fuel pump, mine had that problem of not moving when i put foot down then lower or higher in revs it was fine, is this certain revs or an intermittant problem, Sounds bit like fuel pump, Mine back fired stutterd and lost power

I had a similar problem with my HF Turbo, it was the fuel lines which were so old they were colapsing under the suction pressure!

So could be - Fuel pump, Fuel lines, injectors, fuel filter (if applicable) or anything else to do with fuel!
