I've got a 2003 1.2 8v Mk2b Punto. I know there are various guides and posts for fitting Hawk and other remote central locking kits, but I'm really not confident cutting and splicing wires.

Is there an option like in the Mk1 where you can buy a fiat kit which just plugs in? I can't post the link but it is part no. 46001190 - can be seen on fiatalfadealerparts dot-co-dot-uk

thanks.

there was/is? a meta system that plugs in but it still needed extras fitting so its probably easier fitting an aftermarket and these are available on the slow boat china for less than £10

you just piggy back a few wires ands older them for long term reliability
i can do one in 30 minutes if pushed

If i had a choice of an aftermarket and the meta one i've got now?

I'd go for the meta system :), as it actually knows if the doors are locked or unlocked

Depends on the aftermarket - it might not

got a late 55 in today with the meta, one of the other good things too is the rubber blippy bit oozes quality unlike the poor one built into the keys on these markus 2 bees :)

did you find that it also comes with the auto door lock feature?

After a few pedal presses it locks the doors for you?

As mine does that - and i believe its the meta system doing it
