Hi everyone, I have a punto 2003 1.2 and I replaced my dipped headlight bulbs with white/blue ones but there is no difference? I even put in a set of pure blue ones and still look orange/white? It is the correct bulb(H1) and the same 55watt as the standard ones. Helppp please !? The bulb error had popped up on my dashboard but everything still works fine, I've been told it's cus I have a "canvas wiring" setup therefore I need to buy a wiring conversion?

blue color bulbs are sh_it, even less lumens than normal ones, once tried some chinese h4 90/100 W which were blue, the difference was noticable but only on high beam, also that was on a mk1 punto which has glass headlights, yours is plastic, maybe putting in a higher wattage bulb will melt the plastic

Is yours a mk2 2003 or a mk2b 2003

Mk2 headlights are projectors and renowned for being crap as they get older they get crapper and simply swapping bulbs isn't going to do a lot, you could fit HID headlights but that's illegal, or higher wattage bulbs which could wreck the wiring loom or start a fire.
If it's a mk2b and you have crap output from the headlights then there is something seriously wrong because they are a very good setup on the mk2b

It's a mk2 2003, punto mk2 1.2 8v dynamic, the plastic on my headlights aren't too bad yet so no need to replace them but I was hoping to get a nice white look from

The mk2 has projector lights as said

They have a natural blue tinge to them in the first place - so a decent quality bulb such as Orsam Night breakers - or even halfords range should give a decent light output

But the mk2 as said isn't as bright as they could be

the bulb malfunction only applies to the sidelights and indicators on the front

See my guide in the mk2/b guides section - the basics to the bulb malfunction
