Right guys,

3 times now I've fitted brand new rocker cover gaskets with 3 different garages doing it....still freaking leaking???? Can i be sure it is the gasket thats my problem, surely the mechanics would have known?

Are you sure its not the coil pack seal thats leaking?
common problem on 8valve's.

as for the Rocker' gaskets, id use something like Granville' instant gasket
instead of the gasket if this keeps failing,

i agree mechanics shouid of double checked there work,

Not an exact science but if there is little or no oil in the gap between the cover and head it's more likely the pack seal is the culprit. You probably know but would be worthwhile replacing the spring at the front of the airbox.

I agree, doesn't obviously look like the cover seal.


I'd look elsewhere, starting at coil pack O ring
